In order to help bring space for Austin residents to safely walk, bicycle, use a wheelchair or push a stroller at a safe distance from others and from car traffic, the city council has approved a healthy streets program.

The program plans to use temporary signs and cones to open up space for cycling and walking while still allowing space for cars to drive through the residential streets.
