Get GROUNDED at the newly reopened Fareground every Sunday morning with wellness programming to restore your body, mind, and soul provided by Swift Fit Events. Every week we’ll host yoga in our outdoor plaza space just off of Congress and Cesar Chavez.
Classes are free and open to the public with ticket registration. A limited number of walk-up tickets will be available the day of, walk-ups are encouraged to bring your own yoga mats.
Yoga mats, towels, and water will be provided

Get GROUNDED at downtown’s Fareground every Tuesday evening with fitness programming powered by Swift Fit Events. Every week we’ll host high-intensity workouts in our outdoor plaza space just off of Congress and Cesar Chavez.

PINK PILATES is offered at NO COST for women recently diagnosed with breast cancer, recovering from surgery, or in ongoing treatment.
The workshop includes a weekly class that offers rehabilitative help in the breast cancer recovery process; inspiring hope and restoring movement. The class offers a specialized program; one that focuses on gradually increasing range of motion through the shoulders and strengthening the back. Each session will help to gently stretch and strengthen the shoulder, chest, back, and abdominal muscles, allowing women to regain and/or maintain a full range of motion to those areas affected by breast cancer and surgery.
The weekly classes are held in Ballet Austin’s beautiful center for dance and community wellness located at 501 W. 3rd St in downtown Austin, a non-medical, happy, mainstream environment that allows for encouragement and rehabilitation.
We look forward to being a part of your full recovery*.

Tap dancers are literally musicians with their feet. It’s fun to watch and even more fun to do. Tap has a rich history that began over 100 years ago and is still a favorite today for adults of all ages. This tap workshop is designed for adults to learn tap dance from the very beginning. The focus is on learning single tap steps, then incorporating the steps into a series of combinations. It’s so much fun, and easy to pick up.
Tap dance is for any age, but is a perfect dance style to learn as an adult. It is a great workout, strengthening the legs and feet, while increasing mobility in the hips, knees, and ankles. It improves balance and coordination. It is also extremely beneficial to cognitive functioning. (good for the brain!)

We care about helping you to discover simple ways to prevent falls.
This 4-week workshop will focus on promoting and maintaining better balance, coordination, and posture through a series of simple brain and muscle exercises. We will make it challenging, but fun!
Better Balance & Movement™, developed by Butler Center for Dance & Fitness Director Vicki Parsons, is excellent for adults of all ages, although geared towards adults age 50 plus. It is also beneficial for those dealing with neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and stroke.
