What is up Austin Fit Fam!  Nikki Zahka (@Fitwithnikk_) back again for this month’s Ambassador Corner, highlighting the must-visit health and wellness spots around Austin! If you are active in the local health and wellness scene here in Austin, you most likely have already heard about Pvolve. They took the scene by storm with various pop-up events and did an amazing job promoting their downtown Austin location opening. The 2,000 square-foot studio boasts a modern and elevated design featuring luxury amenities, patented and innovative equipment, and a beauty bar featuring products from Public Goods, Pathwater, Rael, and R&Co. Pvolve Austin is partnered with many high-caliber brands, including ARMARA, Nutrafol, and Vuori.

Before getting into my experience and what to expect during a class, I am happy to dedicate this Ambassador’s Corner to I Live Here I Give here. Supporting 750+ local nonprofit organizations, I Live Here I Give Here has produced year-round programs and activities that actively engage and empower individuals, companies, nonprofits, and foundations to be more generous and contribute to a more equitable community for all.

Pvolve is a fast-growing boutique fitness franchise and expanded its national footprint with the opening of their new location in downtown Austin, Texas this past January.

The science-led method combines low-impact functional fitness with resistance-based equipment to deliver results that include a strong, sculpted physique, increased mobility, posture, and balance, thus making you look and feel better. In 2017, entrepreneur Rachel Katzman went searching for solutions. Feeling broken from high-intensity workouts mingled with scoliosis pain, she knew there had to be a better way to get results. Then she found functional fitness, which sculpted her body without the drain. Inspired, she put the pieces in place to develop an entirely new low-impact, big-results fitness method with a Clinical Advisory Board, expert trainers, and unique equipment. Its unique approach uses the premise of functional movement to mimic how the body moves in everyday life. The exercises target the muscles in a way that aligns with the body’s natural biomechanics and their unique numbered mat makes it very easy to follow along with the instructor in the proper form.

PVOLVE - AustinIf you have seen Pvolve popping up in your ads, it is most likely from world-renowned actress, producer, and director, Jennifer Aniston. In 2023, she officially partnered with Pvolve after falling in love with the method as a member and referring to it as “transformational.” Those ads personally caught my attention, so I clicked in and saw what it was all about! Being in the heart of downtown Austin, it is actually quite easy to get to and find parking. The studio itself is very cute and aesthetic with a historic feel from the brick detailing. It gives high end New York studio vibes.

Strength and Sculpt is Pvolve’s signature class that blends low-impact, functional movement with resistance-based equipment for incredible results. A 50-minute class that works every muscle group in the body for a dynamic sculpting and toning workout that builds stability, mobility, and full-body strength. It is the perfect choice for anyone looking for a low-intensity workout that will not cause burnout but still challenge you and build strength.

I have now been to a Pvolve class three different times, and I love that every single one of them is a different experience. Every instructor has their own unique style and utilizes different one-of-a-kind equipment to have different focus areas while still giving a great full-body workout. It truly keeps things interesting, so you will not get bored being a regular! Every time, I have been challenged in a new way. Whether it was testing my balance, core, cardio bursts, or burning out a specific muscle group – I learned new moves, challenged myself, and felt great afterward without the typical exhaustion or burnout from many HIIT classes.
