What is up Austin Fit Fam! Nikki Zahka (@Fitwithnikk_) back again for the June Ambassador Corner. I found the perfect place to go for heart-centered healing right here in Austin for you. Awakn Ranch just recently opened its doors and offers a wide array of unique experiences and services where ancient knowledge and modern wellness unite. They offer an inclusive environment to connect with a vibrant community, embrace personal growth, and awaken to your highest potential in a serene atmosphere designed to support your well-being and life purpose. It is a really peaceful spot that has a wide breadth of activities to do, services they offer, or just a place to co-work and network with other members.
Before delving into my experience visiting the ranch and all it has to offer, I am pleased to dedicate this Ambassador’s Corner to I Live Here, I Give Here. At AWKN, they believe in the power of connection. To yourself, others, and the wisdom of nature. Nestled on a peaceful ranch in South Austin, they offer a nurturing sanctuary where ancient knowledge meets modern living. Through healing therapies, movement practices, shared ceremonies, and playful gatherings, they create intentional experiences to inspire transformation, balance, and belonging. AWKN honors timeless wisdom while meeting the needs of today.
Their core belief is that healing comes from community. A space where safety, trust, and connection are cultivated together. Their sanctuary is designed to foster meaningful relationships and shared experiences, creating a foundation for personal and collective growth.
This all began with Within Center, which is a medically licensed psychedelic therapy center focused on integrative, heart-centered healing that lives on the ranch in a nine-bedroom Retreat center. They specialize in two and four-week inpatient programs that combine ceremonial ketamine therapy with trauma-informed integration, functional medicine, nervous system repair, and spiritual awakening work. Over the last three years, they have facilitated over 1,000 psychedelic therapy sessions with an impressive five-star rating from their clients.
Their programs are designed to help people not just heal but awaken and transform. Awkn serves individuals recovering from depression, trauma, burnout, and spiritual disconnection. They have built a professional, sacred space where medicine and spirit work together.
Stemming from Within, they launched AWKN Ranch, a 12-acre wellness sanctuary just outside south Austin. They offer wellness community memberships that include access to IV drips, a sauna, hot and cold plunges, red light therapy, pickleball, coworking space, a hammock garden, yoga, sound healing, breathwork, and other holistic services. Members can drop in for the day, join monthly, or book private sessions.
I was able to get out there to walk the grounds, get an IV drip for immunity, and explore all of the offerings around the ranch. They have a lot to offer! It is truly a magical place with infinite opportunities to create connections with people. Centrd Studios at AWKN Ranch offers a diverse range of workshops and classes focused on wellness, creativity, and personal growth. From movement and mindfulness practices to skill-building sessions, our programming is designed to inspire and empower each participant on their journey. They have numerous OPUS SoundBeds™ that offer an immersive experience combining soundscapes and gentle vibrations to promote deep relaxation, emotional balance, and a harmonious mind-body connection. If you have not tried one of these before, I highly recommend it! It is such a cool experience that is difficult to explain, but a very powerful mind-body connection when you experience it.
Rejuvenating hot/cold contrast therapies are available for your wellness practices and enjoyment. Their soaking experiences include invigorating cold plunges, a hot tub, and both indoor/outdoor showers. They also have multiple dry Saunas designed to promote deep relaxation, improve circulation, and support overall wellness. A personal favorite of mine, heat therapy helps release tension, flush out toxins, and rejuvenate your mind and body in a serene, restorative environment.
Whether you are hanging by the fire pit having a conversation, chilling in the hammock garden to unwind in nature, playing pickleball with friends, enjoying contrast therapy in one of their sauna or cold plunges, sound bath therapy in the yurts, taking a yoga class, or getting services like IV in the Within Centr, there are so many options for reconnecting with yourself and others.
This brings us to one of their fastest-growing offerings, which is actually renting out the retreat venue. Retreat companies, space holders, and facilitators can rent out the facilities, including a private temple space for 125+ people, sauna and plunges, kitchen cafe, pickleball, fire pits, etc. So, if you are looking for a great spot to host your next event, check out the grounds at Awakn Ranch!
They also host their own transformational retreats, ceremonies, community events, and corporate off-sites — all rooted in wellness and awakening. And from what they say, they are just getting started! At the end of this year, they are breaking ground on a 6-acre expansion that will include a 60-unit geodesic dome village designed for conscious community living and extended retreat experiences. This village will offer long-term stays, communal spaces, and a new model for integrated, intentional living in nature.
