Marathon Kids Launches Keep Austin Active Campaign

By AFM Team – April 22, 2020

Local non-profit Marathon Kids announces new initiative, “Keep Austin Active” for adults in the midst of COVID-19 Stay-at-home orders.

The organization that encourages elementary school students to get active through logging their miles throughout the school year made the announcement on April 22.

Participants can download a free ATX mileage log, track activity (at home or in their neighborhood), and once it’s complete, participants will receive a Marathon Kids’ sweatband. The goal is to complete 26.2 miles by Global Running Day on June 3.

The program is completely free and a way to get parents involved with students participating in Marathon Kids. To find more information visit marathonkids.org.
