What character did you dress up as and why?
Funny enough, it was initially MC Hammer, but after talking with Weston, the Genie was born. I wanted to represent the magical side of Halloween outside of the guts and gore that it’s become.
What was your first Halloween costume/memory?
I never celebrated Halloween as a kid due to Christian beliefs, but as an adult my favorite memory so far is actually having matching costumes with my girlfriend.
Favorite Halloween treat?
Snickers. EASY!!!
Favorite haunted house?
House of Torment. I’m not one to be scared of them, but since I’ve been dragged there every year, somehow I’ve grown to like it.
Favorite scary movie?
IT Part 1 & 2
Scariest situation you’ve been in?
Going SkyDiving when I was scared of heights.
Anything else you may want to add?
I just want to thank everyone that was involved in the shoot for making it such a memorable and enjoyable experience with this being my first photoshoot ever.
In Western culture, the genie comes from “The Thousand and One Nights”, or “Arabian Nights” as it is known in the English edition. In these stories, genies were often trapped in lamps or bottles, and releasing them could either bring fortune or danger to the person who freed them.
