Join Austin Runners Club for the 46th running of Austin’s oldest 5K on October 22, 2023. The Daisy Dash is a family-friendly event that includes competitive 5K and 10K races, plus a fun Kids Mile! Both the 5K and 10K start and finish at Daisy Dash Field in southwest Austin. This flat and fast loop course runs through the beautiful City of Sunset Valley—5K completes one loop and 10K completes two loops. The Kids Mile is an out-and-back along Ernest Robles with the same start and finish line as the main race. Once you cross the finish line, enjoy our finisher’s party and celebrate your accomplishments!
Awards will be given for both the 5K and 10K races to the top male and female overall, top master male and female overall, and top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 12 & Under, 13–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69 and 70–79, and 80+.
The 10K race is part of the Austin Distance Challenge (DC). As a special perk, DC participants receive access to the exclusive Distance Den tent, stocked with snacks and a bag check. Runners who completed the CASA Superhero Run 5K are still eligible to register for the DC.
All proceeds from the Daisy Dash benefit the Marathon Kids Program. Marathon Kids is implemented in all Austin ISD elementary schools, and provides training, tools, and resources to the dedicated coaches, PE teachers, and other community volunteers who motivate kids to take their first step towards a healthier future and positively impact mental health. Since its inception, Marathon Kids has supported over 2.5 million young runners.
