Lockhart BBQ Run
Formerly known as the Lockhart Kolache Ride, this year it has a new name, but the route is the same. Meet at the courthouse square in Lockhart, one block west of Hwy 183 on Nov. 6 at 9 a.m. The 29-mile, 54-mile or combination loops pass through scenic post oak-covered, rolling hills and can be enjoyed by riders of all abilities. And a post-ride BBQ lunch in either Lockhart or Luling will be a well deserved finish. For more information, contact Nancy at 282.1987.

Barely Hare
This is quite possibly Austin Cycling Association’s flattest ride, including four distances, from 24 to 77 miles. The longest route circles Granger Lake with some excellent views from the top of the dam. Meet in Taylor at 9 a.m. at the bank parking lot at Third and Porter (one block northeast of the light at Hwy 79 and Main Street). There will be plenty of BBQ in Taylor after the ride. For more information, contact Patti at 799.4833.
