Since first taking root in 1975, Fall Creek Vineyards has added some flavor to Tow, Texas, located 80 miles northwest of Austin. This 15,000- square foot winery produces nine varietal wines which are distributed to places such as the Netherlands, Great Britain and Germany. The Vineyards host a number of events in the summer months, ensuring that there is something to wet everyone’s palate. Treat your mother to a special lunch for Mother’s Day May 8 and 9, or stroll the Texas Hill Country Fine Art and Wine Trail, featuring galleries and wineries in the Highland Lakes region, on May 15 and 16. The vineyard will also host a Memorial Day weekend luncheon on May 29, and an Independence Day celebration, with burgers and blues, on July 4. The 15th Annual Grape Stomp and Harvest Festival, complete with cooking demonstrations and wine tastings, will take place on August 21 through 28. The vineyard is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
