The 25th Annual Three-Legged Willie 13K Distance Classic will take place March 13 at Old Settlers Park, located at 330 E. Palm Valley Blvd. in Round Rock at 8 a.m. Cost is $15 in advance and $20 the day of the event. All participants will receive a T-shirt. Sunrise stampede 5k fun run
Come experience one of Austin’s favorite races and enjoy one of the most entertaining race courses around! The Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo hosts its Fifth Annual Sunrise Stampede 5K fun run March 13. Everyone from serious runners to casual joggers and walkers are encouraged to participate. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers. The race will take place at the Texas Fair and Rodeo grounds located at 7311 Decker Lane. Kids will have their chance to run in the Third Annual Rodeo Rumble at 9:30 a.m. after the Sunrise Stampede. STATESMAN JUNIOR ‘DILLO 1-MILE RUN
The Austin American Statesman Junior ‘Dillo Kids 1-Mile Run will begin at 8 a.m. March 27 at Auditorium Shores, located at West Riverside Drive and South First Street. Fees are $12 (if you pick up the packet and shirt at Run-Tex located at 422 W. Riverside Dr.) or $16 to have the packet mailed to you. The run is a certified one-mile course for kids ages 12 and under. All participants receive a commemorative award and the top three in each age group receive a custom race medal. STATESMAN CAPITOL 10K
The Austin American-Statesman Capitol 10K, coming March 28, is the largest 10K in Texas and an annual rite of spring for the Austin community. The run will take place at Congress Avenue and Barton Springs Road. In its 27th year, the race attracts the silly to the serious and has become a fun, festive tradition for the whole family. Runners come decked out in their most creative costumes; walkers come out to have fun with family and friends; and timed runners get a fast race course. Fees are $20 for the run/walk and $21.50 for the chip-timed competitive run (if you pick up your race packet at Run-Tex located at 422 W.
