The Mizuno Run With Us running tech lab will be at the downtown Riverside RunTex today (Tuesday) from 4-7 p.m. This is the second of three stops the Run With Us crew is making in Central Texas. The van, which has Mizuno’s state-of-the-art "Precision Fit" terminals, appeared yesterday at the new RunTex store on the Triangle (4615 N. Lamar).
The tech van will be at the downtown RunTex (422 W. Riverside) today from 4-7 p.m. Finally, on Wednesday, the Mizuno tech team and van will be at the Georgetown RunTex on the Square (809 S. Main) from 4-7 p.m.
The Run With Us Mizuno shoe techs who travel the country with the mobile labs analyze each runners’ gait and biomechanics and then make a recommendation for a specific shoe, based on foot type, running style and goals. This analysis is free and takes about 15 minutes. Afterward, participants are given the opportunity to test ride the Mizuno shoe which has been prescribed on a run of any length. Everyone who goes through the "Precision Fit" procedure also receives a free Mizuno technical shirt.
Mizuno has fully staffed mobile vans covering the East Coast and West and these two teams of tech reps have visited more than 200 running stores across the country as well as participating at races, expos and schools.
"The Run With Us promotion provides a unique and exciting way for runners who may or may not have experienced the Mizuno brand, to do just that. We firmly believe that the comfort, quality and performance of our running shoes and apparel are second to none, and this is a great way for runners to experience it for themselves," says Fritz Taylor, General Manager of Mizuno’s running division
No advance sign up is necessary for either one of the two Run With Us events in Austin. Just show up at either one of three RunTex stores and participants will be handled on a first come, first served basis.
Everyone who takes part in the Run With Us program will receive a computerize print out of their arch as well as the type of shoe which is best suited for them. Each runner will also receive a recommendation of the best Mizuno shoe for their needs.
