DENVER, Colorado (July 23, 2009) – Colorado-based yoga apparel brand be present, is launching a new tee-shirt collection. The “Renew Tees,” are made out of rPET, a fabric produced from recycled plastic bottles and organic cotton, for summer 2009.

rPET, short for “recycled polyethylene terephtahate,” is a fabric developed by melting down recycled plastic bottles and spinning the melted plastic with organic cotton. Each be present Renew Tee produced in rPET diverts three to five plastic bottles from a landfill. rPET, a recycled eco-conscious material, also requires little energy and water during production.

The new be present Renew Tees are available for both women and men in a variety of styles. Initially, be present will an offer deep v-neck tee for women and a long-sleeve, crewneck tops for men. Additional styles will be introduced later in the fall. All the new Renew Tees feature original artwork, screen-printed with water-based inks, both are additional eco-conscious traits of these tee-shirts. The appearance of the tee is heathered due to the blend of rPET and Organic Cotton. Artwork consists of several unique prints, including a Tree of Life (with an animal-loving be present twist,) a Lotus flower and a Buddha. The Tree of Life is a universal symbol for the interconnection of all life while the Lotus is a symbol for purity, beauty and enlightenment. The Buddha represents wisdom, compassion and absolute reality. Artwork will change season to season, both in color-ways and overall concept; always remaining true to the overall positive message that be present is known for.

Using recycled plastic bottles not only helps with landfill diversion, it is also creating a soft, durable fabric for everyday wear.
